November News

Greetings and Happy Halloween to All!

It’s been an amazing first few months in the studio. I feel incredibly lucky to be doing this, thankful for meeting all of you and honored to be able to practice with you. Thank you so much for your interest and support. I am excited to move into the “high season” with all of you and to see new faces as the snowbirds are settling back into town.

We have some exciting new classes and events planned for November. I look forward to enjoying them with you.

New regular classes/class times

Meditation and Philosophy (no charge for these but $5 suggested donation welcome)

  • Meditation Thursdays 8-8:20 am and Saturdays 8:30-8:50 am.

  • Philosophy, Sutra Saturdays 9-9:30, we will read and discuss the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali

Asana

  • Tuesdays 9:15-10:20 am Rise and Shine Hatha Flow

  • Thursdays 9:15-10:20 am Rise and Shine Hatha

  • Wednesdays 7-8:05 pm Evening Hatha (I hope this isn’t too late for some of you!)

  • Saturdays 9:30-10:30 am Sutra Saturday on the Mat

New Yoga Series

  • The Yamas Series. Mondays 5:45-7 pm, November 6th - December 11th

This six-week series introduces the Yamas, the first of the 8 Limbs of classical yoga. These are ethical or moral restraints that guide a yogi’s relationship with him/herself and others. We will explore how these ideas shape our practice on and off the mat. $100 for the six-week series; drop-ins welcome if series isn’t full, $18 Drop-in (or use class card).

Thanksgiving Class

  • I can’t imagine a day of thanks without yoga. Come to the studio for a gratitude-centered practice from 9 to 10am. This is a donation-based offering, pay what you can with love. :)

  • Special Friday class 11/24. We don’t usually have group classes on Fridays, but the Friday after Thanksgiving is an exception. Join me at 9:15 am for an invigorating practice that will strengthen the muscles, raise the heartbeat and incorporate lots of twisting to aid in digestion. Typical drop-in rate or class cards for this class.

Benefits of walking, riding or carpooling

The only thing better than exercise is exercise with a friend. During the high season starting in November, if you walk, run or ride to yoga class 5 times, your 6th class is free! Keep track on the chart (soon to be) in the studio.

Private Sessions

I offer yoga classes designed for unique physical or emotional needs and/or other practical circumstances. These could include injury, arthritis, obesity, anxiety, depression, scoliosis and others. If you or someone you know might like to learn more, please schedule a consultation (free) during which we can sit down and discuss your needs and aspirations for the practice.

Spread the Word!

If you love Yoga with Janelle, tell your friends and relatives, share our page Facebook, invite a friend to class submit a review on Google or Facebook.

Many of you have done these things and I really appreciate the shoutout! :)

For your Christmas List

I have gift certificates, class cards and little yoga packages for any loved one who might need or like the gift of yoga for Christmas or some other occasion. There’s no better gift than yoga. Pick up an “All I want for Christmas card” if you would like to leave a ‘hint’ for your loved one/ones. ;)
